1. Introduction
Qayd قيد (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a shared financial ledger app that helps users track debts, advances (custodies), salaries/entitlements, approvals, comments, and related records between parties.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using Qayd, you agree to this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and profile information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we may receive and store:
- Name
- Email address (if provided by the sign-in provider)
- Profile photo URL (if provided)
- A unique account identifier from the sign-in provider
- A Qayd public user number used for invitations and identification inside the app
You may also upload a profile image and add optional profile details (such as a bio).
2.2 Ledger and relationship data
To provide the core service, we store content you create or that is shared with you, including:
- Relationships / parties you connect with
- Transactions (for example debts, advances, payments, purchases, salary entitlements)
- Amounts, currencies, statuses, due dates, descriptions, and approval decisions
- Comments and discussion notes on records
- Invites you create (including invitee email if you enter one)
2.3 Files and attachments
If you upload receipts, images, PDFs, or other attachments, we store those files and link them to the relevant records so you and the other party can view them.
2.4 Device and notification data
To send push notifications (for example pending approvals), we may collect:
- Device push token (FCM / platform token)
- Device platform (for example Android or iOS)
2.5 Technical and usage data
We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as:
- Authentication/session tokens
- App version and basic request logs
- Approximate timestamps of actions
- Error diagnostics related to app or server failures
We do not sell your personal data.
2.6 Payments
If you purchase a paid feature through Google Play, payment is processed by Google. We receive purchase/subscription status needed to unlock features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide shared ledger features between you and other users
- Show balances, open items, approvals, and histories
- Deliver in-app and push notifications
- Generate statements/exports (such as PDF) when you request them
- Store and display attachments you upload
- Improve reliability, security, and support
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. How Information Is Shared
We share information only as needed to operate Qayd:
4.1 With other parties in your ledger
When you invite or connect with another user, the information and records related to that shared relationship (including amounts, statuses, comments, and attachments) are visible to that party as part of the service.
4.2 With service providers
We use trusted providers to host and run the app, which may include:
- Cloud hosting and databases
- File storage for uploads
- Push notification delivery (for example Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Sign-in providers (Google, Apple)
- App distribution and billing (Google Play)
These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
4.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, or if needed to protect users, our rights, security, or integrity of the service.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and ledger data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Shared records involving another active user may remain available to that user in anonymized or residual form where required for ledger integrity, unless both parties’ data can be fully removed.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Export a copy of your data where applicable

You can also:
- Revoke Google or Apple sign-in access from your provider account settings
- Disable push notifications in your device settings
- Stop using the app and request deletion
7. Children’s Privacy
Qayd is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Processing
Your information may be processed and stored on servers in countries other than your own. Where we do so, we take steps designed to protect your information in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
Qayd may integrate with third-party services (Google, Apple, Google Play, Firebase, and similar). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Qayd after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
